The Blade Wed, 18 Nov 2020 21:30:20 GMT The city of Toledo launched a new website Wednesday that city officials believe will be more resilient and business-friendly. The site, toledo.oh.gov, offers an improved search function, greater ease of navigation, and more opportunities to market Toledo, officials believe. The new website also features the city's new logo, which was launched earlier this year. => https://toledo.oh.gov The city contracted with Madhouse Creative LLC for $100,000 to build the new site. Officials said the city and Madhouse worked with the Ability Center of Greater Toledo and the Sight Center of Northwest Ohio to ensure the new site is accessible to all. Ten bids for the project were submitted in January, 2019, and narrowed to four local companies: Madhouse, Hart Associates, Thread Marketing Group, and Madison Avenue Marketing Group. Madhouse had been the city's top choice. The site took approximately 12 months to create and transfer information from the previous city website, according to city officials. City staff plan to closely monitor site usage and make changes as needed. Highlights of city services will also adjust with seasonal needs, such as leaf collection in the fall and snow removal in the winter, and the new site allows residents to pay utility bills or search for information on city services with much greater ease, officials say. -30- ``` dir : 2020/11/18 ```
