# Local Journalists Using Substack

I look forward to paying local, independent journalists and writers who provide email newsletters that cover local issues, regardless of the email newsletter service that's used.

Substack continues to be an interesting platform. It launched only in 2017, but it seems to do most things well from a user experience perspective, both for authors and readers. 

Substack creates a simple email reading experience. It also offers a pleasant web-reading experience. It permits people to provide comments to the web versions of the posts. It provides RSS feeds for the authors' content. And Substack launched its own web-based feed reader.
